I have mixed feelings about the city inn. I have known some of the people there including the owner Ray and the manager Samir over the course of a few years. Some people say it is an eyesore, and that it should be shut down but I disagree. Ray and Samir certainly have gotten away with a few things in their time, and it was inevitable that it would catch up with them. However I am sorry that they are having trouble. Some of their rooms are in bad shape and some are pretty nice. Ray has made a real effort to improve and update his motel and there are improvements made every day. It is a big job for just two or three people but they are working on it. The visitors fees were put in place as a way to control traffic and reduce the unsavory characters that came there to prey on their more vulnerable clientele. Apparently these fees got out of hand. Ray and Samir are realists and they live in a different world than most of us and with people who are different from the typical homogeneous everybody go to work every day and do a good job for your masters type that some people think everyone should be. I am talking to you neighbors who want to shut it down. It was there before you were so stop it. It is true that their rooms are a little overpriced and not always well maintained but they provide a home for the homeless and a family type atmosphere for some misfits, outcasts and people who may have made some mistakes or who are still making them. These people need a place to rest and call home, just like everyone else. Ray provides this service to these people and to the community by keeping them off of the street. You will find that if you treat the people there with dignity and respect then they will do the same for you. Unless you are a soulless robot. Then you probably should stay away. But if you are a genuine person with a unique personality and you are not scared of seeing real people do real things then this is a good place to hang your hat for a while. Anyone can make their lives better or worse depending on their choices, but it is nearly impossible to move up once you are on the street and this place can be a stepping stone up or it can be a doorway to hell. You choose, they stay out of your business and by doing so, give you the dignity to make that choice for yourself.

My second expirance here. So far it's not too too bad; although the shower is dripping and the a.c doesn't work or the refrigerator doesn't have a built in freezer.. Ah, the employees are helpful, kind, and respectful.

great place to go if you like having the daytime manager go in your room when gone steal your belongings then turn around and try selling them yo you. or when that same employee makes you pay late fees (nonexistent) or daytime. visitors fees (also nonexistent)so. he can pocket them himself. if your a girl watch out he'll try all day long to hit on you when gis girl lives there with there 2 kids. the other 2 employees and owner are. awesome and legit. why they continue to have a schizophrenic theif work at there establishment is beyond me.
