Masa, or the cornmeal is naturally gluten free but you may want to call and ask if they put wheat flour in their recipie. If they do, which is wierd, you can call and ask for a custom batch without wheat flour.

I've arranged fundraising for local schools, and one of the most consistently successful is selling La Esperanza tamales.

As a baker, I understand why they run out. It keeps it fresh daily, which is why it's always good, which is why the lines are long and the people keep coming.

The tamales are not made daily... and they come from a vendor who is one of those who are parked outside.... Going early morning and cold nights is a great time to find various people and delicious fresh tamales and other goodies

I'm not sure. The store that's attached to it might though. They do sell masa for tamales though.

There are two sides to La Esperanza 1. The bakery that sells bread and pastry goods. 2. The retail store located on the North West side of the parking lot. The retail side is where you will locate the items you need to make your menudo.
