Gary was wonderful! He came out to see our record collection same day, and was so nice, genuine, honest, and helpful from the start. He gave us a competitive price for our collection, and didn't take anything he didn't want so we could have the opportunity to try and sell it elsewhere. Working with him was a fantastic experience, and I would HIGHLY recommend checking out his store if you want to buy or sell any vinyl--the guy knows his music!

Gilmore's at Cherry and 7th has a guy who does turntable repair. His name is Andre and he comes in occasionally. When dropping off your player, you need to pay a $80 bench fee then Andre will phone you and tell you if repairs will exceed the bench fee. I've had pretty good luck with him.
RE Record Flattening - Try Blind Dog Hi-Fi and Records in Huntington Beach (Brookhurst and Adams, where Whole Foods is). The owner has a piece of equipment from Japan for this purpose. I have a stereo copy of the Alfie soundtrack (1966 film starring Michael Caine, music by Sonny Rollins). Cover in great shape, but vinyl has a wobble in it, skips on side 1 for about 20 seconds. I left the record there and owner ran it through the machine a couple of times. When I came back several days later, it had minimized the wobble, but still skipped, though not as much as on the original play. He charged me $5 which for me was OK. Copies of this LP are pricey.
Limited capacity, requiring face masks. Offering sanitizer and gloves, frequently cleaning all surfaces.
