Dr. Houman did a great job. He knew exactly what would work, and it did. For me this was a major surgery, but he had plenty of experience and expertise in just this issue. He had a reason for everything he did, every choice he made, and he explained it all at whatever depth I was wiling to go. And is shows, I am really pleased in all respects with the result.

Dr Houman is an exceptional physician and surgeon. I am a urologist and I refer my patients to him for men's health issues such as ED, infertility, vasectomy reversals and hypogonadism. He is a gifted surgeon and is very compassionate and caring towards his patients. All of my patients who have seen him have been extremely happy with the care they received.

Yes, as a fellowship-trained minimally invasive microscopic surgeon, I perform both vasectomy and vasectomy reversal procedures. Vasectomy reversals are outpatient procedures that take approximately 3 hours and have a very high success rate.

I’m a male in my early 20’s with ED, how do you treat a patient like me?

Rather than just prescribe you an ED medication, my goal is to identify the root cause of your symptoms and address it early on, before it becomes a chronic condition. Whether its a hormonal issues, elevated cholesterol, or medication issue — I want to address the cause of your ED rather than just mask it with ED medications. We currently have plenty of treatment options available that provide long-lasting and potentially curative solutions for young men with ED.

Why do you preach the importance of Men's Health?

If a man doesn’t see a doctor before he hits 50, there may be irreversible damage that can shorten his life - heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol levels, obesity, and low testosterone just to name a few. The things that can kill men such as diabetes and high blood pressure, don’t always have early symptoms that would prompt a man to go to his doctor. Male fertility and erectile dysfunction are proxies for overall men's health. Studies have shown that men diagnosed with male factor infertility had a higher risk of developing diabetes and ischemic heart disease. As a Comprehensive Men’s Health clinic, our goal is to engage men about health concerns at an earlier age. By addressing the early symptoms of potentially chronic disease we can together improve your quantity and quality of life.

Varicoceles are relatively common. They are similar to varicose veins of the legs — varicoceles are varicose veins of the testicles. They increase testicular temperatures, causing decreased sperm production and decreased sperm quality. Rest assured, there are numerous treatment options available to address varicoceles and improve sperm production and quality.
