Very nice personal. Remember at the Amherst location you must have a appointment. There are no exceptions.
You can go there and they will set you an appointment, outside.

Made an appointment. Line was all the way back to foodlion and nobody would answer the phone. No way all these people had an appointment, I should've been able to walk right in.
Yes! DMV In Amherst is open to the public. However, you would have to go there in person to make an appointment. They are not However doing road tests nor for permits. Hope that you find this info useful.

I know you can transfer tags. I'm not sure about the commercial vehicles, but I believe you can. No appointment necessary.
No. They don't issue driver's licenses or I'd cards. You have to go to the Lynchburg location.

They are accepting Walk-Ins Monday through Thursday. You may have to wait in line for a while.

I went on dmvNOW.com ordered my decals and printed out receipt it is good for 15 days to give you time to get your decals in mail so if you get stopped show the cop your receipt and you will be fine
I have sold my car but will be buying another one, not sure exactly when. I was going to just have my plates transferred to the new car. Getting into DMV now is difficult therefore saving time and aggravation. Can that work?
