If you're going to this place, it's already a scary time. These people here are very professional and courteous. Calming. I recommend highly!

Call U.C. Davis small animal clinic
You can check with your local animal control or the local SPCA for low cost spay days or clinic.
Thank you! What number do I contact at UC?
I believe there might be the travel option when you call UC Davis.
Sorry I don't know.. You would have to call UC Davis for an appt. Females usually cost more than males to have fixed.
Take her in
Definitely get your vet's opinion ASA!. UC Davis has an excellent neurology department if needed
UC Davis is the best place to go.
Yes, what is your question?
When I was there, I was surprised at how reasonable the prices were.
The veterinary school is rated number one in the world. Not the US, the world. No surgery is going to have a small bill obviously. What's nice here is everything is done in-house. You don't have to wait for labs that are sent out or try to go and see specialists that are hard to book. You can get one consult after another all in the same day and blood tests are read within minutes. And in the end that makes it cost less because you're not paying for a bunch of different exam and lab fees. The people doing ultrasounds and radiology are highly certified and do a much better job than at other places. When I look at my bills the individual cost of things are less than at a private vet. But they do so many things that it's never a small bill. I've been going here for years and have never felt dissatisfied or questioning whether they did the best job. When the local vets are stumped they send you to UC Davis. They can give you an estimate.
Get pet insurance first then get him to UC Davis Small Animal Clinic.
Hi, they are a University so I would think so, but give them a call.
I can tell you that my experience of UC Davis is that it is cheaper and better than any place I've been. Plus they take extremely good care of your dog. I credit them with saving my dog's life when somebody else couldn't.
You should make an appointment with the vets there. They will perform the necessary tests, and be able to recommend treatment. They will take good care of your little friend.
They are all students but supervised by DVM's
Go to UC Davis small animal hospital.
Hello, it's best to call the University
Josh, it could be several different things, you should take your dog and have the veterinarian take a look it, and go from there. Good luck. :)
You can call the small animal clinic number listed on the website. They only schedule appointments during regular hours, not on emergency.
Call to ask to speak with
We just had two molar extractions but we also had a couple other issues. He had to stay a week, $2871.00. Dr Katzman and Dr P were great. Our horse needed exrays and an ultra sound.
If you are looking for a vet to answer your question, you'd be best off to call the hospital and ask someone there.
Yes call them.
You're going to have to call and explain your situation. They will tell you to bring your cat in for an initial examination in order to properly diagnose its health and give an estimate of the cost
I believe MRI brain scans are between $1500-2000 for small animals. However, I strongly suggest calling them to discuss your options and your budget before making a decision. Good luck to you and your dog!
It truly depends on many factors in regards to your pup. We had to have one of pur boy's eyes fixed and went to our local vet in Vallejo. We got a much cheaper rate but his surgery was very straight forward. We recently had our other pup diagnosed with liver cancer and were referred to Davis. They did an amazing job and provided beyond exceptional care at a fair cost. The ultrasound and biopsies at Davis were actually cheaper than what our vet quoted us. There is no harm in getting a quote. Just know they tend to be pretty busy so schedule that appointment ASAP!
Teaching hospital may be able to give you more options. May be an infection since diabetics are prone to those.
Second opinion might be helpful.
Yes they do anything to do with animals they do.
