It's a Bates motel. I never opened my suitcase. Had to get off road due to ice and exhaustion. This was the first place we came to. We had no dinner yet it looked like whatever was in the vending had been there way too long. The front desk lady was nice but should be retired. The room was scary. I checked for bugs. It was like showing up unannounced at your hillbilly uncle's (cousin Eddie on Chevy Chase xmas vaca) house and being invited to spend the night. All you wanted to do was run out and find somewhere else, anywhere else. But it was dark and icy and we were gone before 7 the next morning.

Leofwine Klinger (Ingela)

They only have twin beds. Heat in room was either cold or ungodly hot - heater was set on Lo and after awhile it got ungodly hot so we turned it off and the room got cold in a couple of hours. The showers are made for Hobbits - only about 5' from the ground. Only two pillows on the bed. Room and everything else was clean. Rates very reasonable for what you get. Location is very easy to find, get in and out of. If you're a short person I'm sure you will be fine but I'm over 6' tall and did not fit in the bed.

It is a basic hotel. The bulding is pretty old but everything is clean. This is a great place to sleep if you are searching for something cheap. The staff was also very nice. We arrived very late, because it took us longer than planed to get there, and they were waiting for us. The room is a basic room to get a rest. The mattress was nice. The TV was old...but come on! Are you staying in your room watching TV in such an amazing place?? Move your ass and go see nature around Logan; it´s stunning!

Yes old building, outdated. Smells good, clean, no bugs, hot shower, very nice and helpful staff. Shower was short, no phone, no alarm clock as mentioned however have cell phone. Basic sleep and shower place. Why pay arm and leg when all your going to do is shower and sleep. If going hiking and sightseeing definitely a place to stay. My kind of place when u have a family and take short outings with family and kids and pack coolers. Cheap stay. I will definitely go back when I visit the trails in hocking hill again.
