With changes being made to the school, the new management is becoming very firm and strict with the students. Which is understandable. When I spoke to the owner whom I signed up with, she gave me the rundown of the school and the laws. Two weeks later when I started class, changes were being made. They began imposing rules onto the students even when the students already had previous arrangements with the previous owner/ management. I had not had any issues with this since I follow rules. However, today I was 1 minute late, because of an emergency I had this morning, and even after expressing my emergency, and my need to clock in my hours and graduate on time- I was not let into the school. This is specifically upsetting because it is the first day ever to have been late. I explained I needed to graduate on time because I am also attending another university for grad school and I am unable to take any days off that would jeopardize my graduation date. The office admin did not care and did not even allow me to come in for a half day. This is a big example of how the school does not value the success of the student. If it is a one time inconvenience that the student has, and the students are making an effort to paying 10 thousand dollars in 4.5 months, the students should be given at least ONE chance to a slip up. It is understandable that this new management is trying to keep order and organization within the school. But if only they knew the efforts of others, the discipline and hard work of their students to being here 5 days a week for 8 hours a day, week after week and PAYING out of pocket to be here, there is no reason why they should not offer a single accommodation. I am personally working until late late at night to pay for this school, I have moved in with my family, to be able to financially afford this school, come in everyday, get the work done, follow the dress code, follow the rules, graduate on time so that I can continue my second year of master school, and even after explaining my situation and sense of urgency in my institution timelines, there was absolutely no value, no effort being put in to show that they are rooting for my success as a student, as a professional. I feel highly unvalued by the administration in this beauty school. Every other institution I have earned my degrees from, have understanding of their students and are flexible for their time, money, and root for their success. Not this school. Hoping this changes as I have invested much of my time, energy and money here.
