We had an amazing experience today! When we booked, we were complaining about the $30 price for the tour/tasting (I’ll be honest, I’ve been on a few distillery tours that were not worth the cost). However, we really enjoyed our trip. Brandi was our tour guide, and was extremely knowledgeable about the distillery and the history of the families involved. We had so much fun, and loved every second of the tour. We felt it was well worth the cost! At the end, they sell whisky and have the option to engrave a bottle (from a select few) for a very reasonable price. I would absolutely do this again!

Took one of the Distillery's guided walking tours to learn about the history of the world-renowned Jack Daniel Whiskey. Tour was roughly 75 minutes, went through various building to exhibit each phase of their distilling process, and ended with a fun flight tasting experience 🥃. Guide was very knowledgeable. Multiple tour options throughout the day and most around $20 per person.

I do not drink but I have heard this is a whiskey lovers haven. If you have the curiosity to learn what happens behind the scenes and see the legend Jack created highly recommend trying the tour out. My friend was a first time visitor to Nashville and she had a blast sampling a different arrays of whiskey and buying different bottles. The tours are every 15 mins so don’t worry if you don’t have a reservation. It’s definitely a busy spot however there’s a lot to do while you wait. The lines move super quick and the staff is well aware of what numbers they cater to on a daily basis. The overall tour was knowledgeable, Steve was so friendly and we had fun hanging around in Lynchburg. This is a very southern place with a lot of bikers so lots to see and experience!

This was very entertaining and informative visit. Our tour guide Brandy was awesome and funny. We did the Dry County tour with our seven family members. She made the whole story so interesting that you remain attentive all the time. Many people have wrote the review on Jack Daniels Visitor Center also, which is separately mentioned in Google maps. So I am sharing my review on both Distillery as well as Visitor center. The Visitor Center was welcoming and impressive and our anticipation of great tour started from there itself. This is not just an industry but an important piece of the history and heritage. This is very inspiring story of Jack and how he made the most popular whiskey in the world. I have visited this distillery many times in the past but I still enjoy it every time. We always bring our guests here to show them important places around here. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the bottling department running or charcoal making process by burning the wood during any of our visits. Overall it was fun experience with some history and some whiskey making process. Must see this oldest distillery of United States.

Hmmmmm.... i give up, how much?
I use a manual wheelchair and have been to the distillery 3 times. I have seen just about everything walking people can see. A few areas I went in a different way but probably had a better tour than most.
Good question! If I'm right, he inherited or bought the house from his teacher/mentor
I would probably stop drinking the watermelon punch...
You can get certain kinds of bottles engraved there.
Go to your liquor store and tell them you want a barrel and they will explain the process
Yes but it's more expensive there than other stores. They do have more options though, such as custom engraving
Not only for adults
Actually it will freeze to an extent, if it's 80 proof then it's only 40% alcohol, so the other 60% is water and will freeze, the liquid you see in the bottom of the bottle is alcohol, it's also called freeze distillation, it's a way to separate the water and alcohol, though it's not the best way as you lose too much alcohol that gets trapped in the water
The tours have not started back up yet, however the visitor center right next to the distillery is open and tour guides are in there to answer any questions. They also sell bottles in there as well. A lot of history to be learned just by walking into the visitor center.
It's best to email them. They can look you up in the database. The email address in on the squires page.
It depends which you wish to take. The dry tour is fine for any age so long as they climb stairs or be carried. On the official site you can find all of the details as well as book in advance to save time on the day.
They're open every day except Christmas Eve and day, new year's day, Easter Sunday and thanksgivings day.
Definitely plenty of parking and the angel tour is alot of fun
Yes they do. Check out the Jack Daniels website for booking times.
Yes but keep in mind you have to walk up pretty steep steps so strollers won't make it.
They do not ship at all. The bottle shop is a store front only . I think it was 40 a bottle and amazing .
That's a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing it with us.
It varies depending on the time of year. If you're on a schedule you're always better booking tickets online anyway. They cost the same and you are guaranteed a place on the tour you want.
Any age can go on the dry tours (obviously accompanied by an adult). You must be 21 to go on the tasting tours. All of the details are on the booking site on JackDaniels.com if you need more info.
You have to schedule a tour. So if you are asking this late they are probably full or closed.
No you do not. If you want a specific time due to plans of a day that you are having ECT, then yes do so in the event you have to wait 15-45 minutes for your selected tour to step off. If your not on a time schedule, show up get the next available tour and roam the welcome center to learn before the tour and see some of the things that are in it.
Tennesseewhiskeytours.com they have tours out of downtown Nashville.. their great!
Arlene, the question is whether Jack is a bourbon or a Scotch.
It takes about 10 minutes and costs about $10-20 per bottle if I remember
No you make the reservations when you get there. It's like standing on line at the movies. You pick the tour you want pay for it and they'll tell you when the tour starts.
Probably when it's warm outside. There's alot of walking outside so you wouldn't want to go when it's cold.
Yes. You can have anything etched into it that is not against their terms. Basically profanity and racial stuff. You are limited to what bottles can be etched into. Gentlemen Jack is the cheapest bottle, the single barrels, gold 27, Sinatra and there may be another you can have etched. Hope this helped. From one generation to another, thanks for your service.
Between $15 and $25 for tours once you are there.
It depends on the tour you take. Each tour is the same except for the whiskey you will taste at the end.
The hardware store carriers them downtown Lynchburg just down the street from the distillery
At the barrel shop in the town square in Lynchburg it will range between 125$ to 300$ usd depending on the condition and finish of the barrel.
I found out the hard way that you have to make reservations for Mrs.Bobo's House...our Guide at the Distillery told us about the place,EXCEPT for the fact about the reservations...so we ate BBQ on the Court Square,it was good
According to this website they are: https://www.jackdaniels.com/visit-distillery
I would like to get ahold of the new Advent calendars, and some of the bottled in Bond selections not offered here.
When you buy a bottle at the distillery you are technically buying the bottle (as a souvenir) and the liquor is free being it's in a dry county. The price you see is the price you pay. No up charge compared to liquor stores and I'd say a bit cheaper for the more expensive bottles than some places I've seen. You also have the opportunity to buy some you will rarely find elsewhere.
Someone's starting the party early
They offer a discount. We paid $37 and change for 2 people for the Angel Share (Normal price $50).
You can store it for a couple of years but not too long. It's not like wine.
You need to be a member. If you are, you would already know...
I would tell you to look at it like this... You can get from your home to your downtown area in a Chevy or a Mercedes. They both go to the same place, it's just one is soooooo much better. If you drink whiskey fairly regularly then by all means go with the Chevy. But when you really want to spoil yourself and feel the full True Value... Then you can't beat Jack
Yes they are allowed on the tour just not the taste testing tour.
No need to reserve but if you have a schedule to keep you can make a reservation and show up for the tour without the wait.
Did you read your title ? " UNRECORDED "" plot # ???
There is a lot of walking, stair climbing, indoors and out! Its a good tour!
15$ for dry tour, 20$ for same tour with whiskey tasting, 25$ for same tour with special whiskey tasting
So kids are not allowed in the tour?
You can buy the bottle. The jack is free. Its a dry county. So you go to the bottle store.
There is one hotel in town, maybe 10 rooms. There are a few towns nearby Fayetteville probably being the closest with a hotel
You have to go on a tour to taste. Yes there are souvenir bottles and you can get it engraved as well!
I hope you find an answer as I'm very interested also. Good luck.
