Over the previous two years, repeatedly had gallons of skimmed milk sour two or more days before the "sell by" date. This includes containers that were unopened until 2 days before the "sell by" date, sometimes 3 days and once even 5 days. I keep my refrigerator as cold as I can without having things freeze in it, so it's not the temperature of my refrigerator. And I don't leave milk sitting out, I'm a milk connoisseur. I keep it refrigerated unless I'm pouring it into a glass, then it's right back in the fridge. The store is clean and well lit inside. I don't find staff over the past two years to be particularly friendly or helpful. Once I was dropping off a FEDEX package with a return label, that included a partnership with USPS. The service desk staff gave me a receipt. A supervisor saw it, chastised the staff in front of me and derisively told me you can't ship that here. Because I had been given a receipt for the parcel drop off, no other location could then accept that return label. I had to pay myself for the return. Once I asked a question about making $100 of lotto purchases for the first time, on the machine there. The staff I asked told me to read the instructions on the machine. Of the few dozen items I shopped there for convenience, they are always more expensive than a Giant Foods (much further away for me but I go there anyway to avoid this store) up on Annapolis Road across from Superior Lane.

Drove from SC to MD for Mother's Day and wellness check on my mom. Had an issue with my car and my bank doesn't have a branch in MD. I needed cash because the mechanic didn't take credit cards but Safeway grocery store had the exact cash back limit with a purchase that I needed. A blessing and lifesaver on Mother's Day. 🙏🏾🙌🏾

Usually they have a great selection and good customer service. Looks like they need some more employees. Lately the produce hasn't been well stocked.

My recent shopping experience at the Safeway on Northview dr on Monday December 27th was very poor. The customer service at the deli counter lacked efficiency. There were only 2 counter clerks in the back when I approached the meat case to browse for my select deli meat. As I stood in line waiting to be helped I was ignored by the 2 employees who appeared to be carrying out their daily tasks. One of the employees who noticed me standing in line blatenly ignored me and continued with her tasks and the other didn't even stop to see if there were any customers who needed assistance. Both workers were very preoccupied and seemed to be more engrossed in what they were doing. Than, after scoping both meat cases in search of the deli meat that I wanted another customer approached the counter after me and was immediately serviced. The blaten disregard for my needs and the flippant demeanor from the workers was rude and distasteful. I work in the Bowie area and shop there regularly and I was shocked and appalled by the poor service that I received and the way that the counter clerk sliced my turkey was sloppy. I will never shop at this location again.
