I really enjoy 24hrs because it's open 24hrs! Lol it's available at times when I wake up early and I know I can come in and get my sweat on! The sauna and pools are a must, always mellow friendly folks with the exception of some cranky male karen upset in the sauna because someone was stretching. The facility does need a little more cleaning from the day before, but I get it, workers change shifts and let the other shift take care if it.. etc... but overall, I love it! Daily Grind pays off boys and girls!!

Well. I joined this gym about a month ago. Since then then I’ve been to 24s in Santa Barbara, Santa Ana (this one is awesome), Yorba Linda, etc, etc. after seeing all those gyms, my thoughts on the Santa Monica location is that it feels rundown and it is missing a lot and I mean a lot of equipment. Plus it doesn’t have Jacuzzi and there is always a layer of dust on the machines. I wish whoever manages his place and or owns it would step their game up and get it up to par.

In 2018 I was followed and physically assaulted by a fellow gym member who berated me in front of several 24 hour fitness staff members. He shoved me several times trying to provoke a fight and then threatened to “drop kick me” as soon as I walked outside of the gym. He called me derogatory names several times such as fa****. I threatened to call the cops and 24 hour fitness staff refused to help me and even prevented me from making the call because the guy was a buddy of theirs and also a professional MMA fighter. I filed a report with them to make a formal complaint, even took it to corporate and they did nothing about it. They even went as far as covering up their own documentation. There was clear video in the lobby of the incident and they said the cameras were broken. I canceled my membership and filed a small claim against them. I will never go back to 24 Hour fitness Santa Monica and will never join the 24 hour fitness club again. Horrible and managed by low life staff. Ps…. before this incident, about 6 months prior, the dry sauna room electric heater started sparking because it’s horribly maintained. Several guests complained about that incident and the next day it was re-opened with no investigation or proper fix. Major fire hazard
