Yes. Veteran Service Dogs trains therapy dogs certified through Love on a Leash Therapy Animals.

How do I get a Service Dog?

1. Work with a VSD recommended trainer to assess your needs and lifestyle to identify the ideal service canidate (dog). 2. You may be able to train a pet dog or rescue a recommended dog through VSD's rescue partners. 3. Complete a year of training your service canidate ( dog) to be ADA compliant, assist in overcoming your disabilities, and earn service team certification.

Is training limited to Veterans?

Training classes are provided at no cost to Active military, veterans, law enforcement, and their families. Others are welcome to attend and learn at the per class rate listed online.
