Excellent lake, great for fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking or just hanging out relaxing and taking in the view.

There is no cost and this is a fantastic place to hike, fly fish, kayak, picnic or bike. It’s beautiful and there are hiking trails all around. Right next to the I-70 and easy to get to. Very beautiful and not a lot of tourists. A great place to take kids also. I hiked the trail east of the lake and it was full of beautiful surprises.

Great place for a nice short lake walk. The trail is mostly flat and very well maintained. Bring your binoculars because we often saw big horn sheep across the 70.

The fishing is good, find a spot to sit down and enjoy the scenery for the day. Even if you don't catch anything, it was a good day fishing.
I have recently use my kayak get these early, no trouble launching near animal viewing center
At both ends of the lake along the I-70 frontage road.

Black diamond ski rentals has kayak rentals. Just pull up and call the number in the door.
Minimum 9 inches. Can only keep 4 fish per person.
There is No open swimming at Georgetown Lake!! Sorry!! Good fishing though!!
Should be thawed...I guess
Yes it is, will be until mid April or march, depends on how warm it gets up by the divide
Yes
Yes.
I had best luck with zekes
The fishing depends on when the State stocks the lake. As far as tips, bottom fishing with salmon eggs and/or powerbait like any other lake. There's really no special spot, the shore along the I-70 frontage road has many places to set up. Bring a chair, wet a line, and enjoy the scenery and beauty.
It is open, spent about an hour there tonight walking and taking pictures of the loons in the lake🙂
There is no overnight parking, and while I can't guarantee if you can park an RV, we regularly seen class B & C RVs in the parking lot. Class A may not be allowed and/ or may not fit anywhere.
