They're only open from 2pm - 5pm. The facility is all chained up. Tons of trash everywhere, graffiti, and drug users. Not comfortable taking my kids here at all.

Never been in the pool ? I've never seen it open for public use..
I have no idea about the pool ! But the gym is open. There is a basketball league that plays on Saturdays. There is also a urban ballroom class on Saturday as well , they meet in a small room. Also there is an art class for smaller children, they meet on Saturday also. For information about other days, I suggest you call Compton parks / recreation or the city hall for more .
