I’ve eaten here before a few years back and it was amazing! However, I recently ordered for pick up and was truly disappointed! I was truly excited to share Backyard Bayou with folks, and it was to say the least underwhelming. I ordered the selfie bucket medium and lobster fries and when it came to seasoning, there was none. The crawfish, shrimp and clams were the most disappointing. I had to go an buy seasoning in order for us to eat the selfie bucket. For the $80 plus I paid, I’m disappointed.

Eeeeww wheeeee!!! We got our fill of crawfish and crab legs!! Yum. We arrived early, around 3pm, it got busy. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The first clue we weren't going to have a good experience was the greeting we didn't receive when we walked in the front door. My dad was in a wheelchair and the front entrance was crowded with chairs and a table. He was barely able to fit through only after moving a chair. We got seated and the waitress took our order. After returning with our food, she asked if we needed anything else, I asked for lemon slices. The waitress never returned with them and pretty much avoided our table. Never returned to check on us. Not even eye contact for us to flag her down. We just finished eating and was able to flag her down to ask for a to go bag and the check. Even then, I had to walk the church up to the rear counter to pay since she was busy chatting with the other employees. That's my complaint on the service. We ordered 2lbs of shrimp and a pound of snow crab legs, steamed rice and garlic noodles. The shrimp and crab were barely edible and seemed like they were on the verge of being spoiled. The shrimp meat was very difficult to separate from the shell. It was almost sticky like. Same as the crab meat. It wasn't just me that noticed. My dad and brother made the same comments. The white rice was also undercooked. It almost felt like I was eating oatmeal. The garlic noodles were the best. No complaints. Overall, I would never return to this place to give it a second chance. Worst dining experience ever. I hate leaving bad reviews unless it's something that really got me upset. This is one of them. I spent over $100 here. I'm writing this review the day after I visited. Just in case I got sick, I would've documented it in this review.

Good morning. I visited your establishment last night around 920-930pm I ordered the family bucket for dinner when I got home after a 15 hour shift at work! I was extremely disappointed with what we received. I tried calling you guys right away, but nobody answered. First off the shrimp, extremely overcooked and inedible, the potatoes where raw and still hard to the point that we had to try to cut them with a knife, sauce was extremely oily, muscles and and clams over cooked and stuck to shells.. Needless to say we didn't eat it and we just ate the garlic noodles. We have it set aside in the fridge Incase you guys want it back or need pictures to prove what I'm saying.. I tried calling and emailing, but emails won't send and nobody answers the phone.. We will not be ordering from you guys again and want you guys to get in touch with me!

They lowered capacity and have spaced tables to ensure 6 ft. staff wear masks and gloves. all else is the usual

Every restaurant is different. If you like the food then its not a big deal but if not then dont return. I like some of their items on the menu but I go there once per two months maybe less.
Unfortunately the closest thing they have to oysters are mussels and clams
