Claremont Retirement Village was where my stepfather lived the last few years of his life. While he resisted leaving his longtime home, in his heart of hearts he knew that he could no longer care for himself and his home. He lived in the Independent Living area and grew to love his spacious apartment. Even with his profound hearing loss he enjoyed the camaraderie of the many friends he made. One of the last activities in which he participated was the Veteran recognition program that was held on Veterans Day. While a humble man, he really enjoyed and appreciated the recognition. The excellent caring staff put my mind at ease knowing that if he fell he would be swiftly helped. After his death I was so touched by the many expressions of sympathy that I received from the staff and the residents alike. If you need a caring, comfortable, and reasonably priced home for your aging loved ones, there is no finer choice than Claremont Retirement Village!

Our Mom has been in Assisted Living at the Claremont coming up on three years now and we are grateful for the great care she has received. All the Aides have done a nice job, Shelly, Tricia, Vivian to name a few, thanks ladies for your efforts and caring. Everyone so friendly and helpful. The food at lunchtime is also very good. I enjoy the dining room lunch time every one seems to enjoy the help that Agelina always makes sure we all have what we want to eat. Though my my mother had dementia due to Alzheimer’s she was in AL. The staff was caring and attentive to her needs. I don’t believe the nurse and aides had sufficient training to understand working with dementia, especially the the guidance I learned of don’t argue, divert attention. Nurse Felix and aide Shelly were fabulous with my mom. The relationship between the DON and I started out fine but did not end well. The new owner is working hard to renovate the the buildings and area which was neglected for quite sometime. Patrick does seem to care and want an improved facility. Activities seemed to be focused for IL but was starting to improve in AL. AL and MC did not have outings to my knowledge and I suggested Claremont partner with a church volunteer group or other group to get “buddies” or help to give AL and MC more engagement and outings. What was most important to our family was the affordable cost and located near me. You always need to advocate for your loved one!
