I can't vouch for the regular cakes, but I can vouch for the gluten free cakes. I paid $10 extra for gluten free. That was understandable considering the extra cost for the ingredients. But I was quite disappointed when I got my cake. The texture on the cake was bready and gummy, not what I would have hoped for. I figured the texture would be off some since it was gluten free, but I didn't expect THAT much of a difference. Also, I feel like the buttercream icing was too heavy. I know that buttercream can be a bit on the heavy side, but this was a little too heavy for me. To be honest, I'm not a huge buttercream icing fan, but I figured I could live with it considering it was my only option. Sadly I couldn't. On the positive: staff was friendly, cake was quite presentable, professional-looking, and smelled appetizing. Unfortunately, the taste didn't live up to the presentation. If you are gluten free, I don't know if I would recommend this place.

We love the village cakery. Ordered an OSU decorated bday cake for our dad . White cake with the Raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. Best cake ever. You’ve got to try one if you haven’t. Only a 20 minute drive from Marietta and well worth it!!

Best bakery for that extra special taste your looking for in the icing!! They always look amazing and have never disappointed us!! Where we go every year for our birthday cakes and well worth the 20 minute drive.

I ordered a red velvet birthday cake for my mom's surprise birthday party. It was gorgeous! It was also delicious! I will definitely order from the Village Cakery again.
