To the sis at the counter who kept giving the reason of not taking our order to avoid a “bad review”…. Here’s your TERRIBLE REVIEW. To those reading: Only come to this establishment if you have hours to waste and wait just to put your order in. We were told that we had to wait 20 minutes to order them we would wait 15 minutes for our food to cook. We asked if we could just put the order in, then come back in the 35-45 minutes if to pick up the food. Her answer was no because she already told multiple other people to wait to order and this would be unfair. Okay… For a spot inside of a food hall, you would think this establishment had better processes to get everyone’s order in and out. Everyone else that were waiting were already very upset but we decided to wait because we still wanted to try the food out. We went to the bar to get a drink, actually waited thirty minutes and then went back (because again, we were told 20) just to be told they’re still not taking orders. We waited another 25 minutes for them to STILL not take ANYONE’s order. Workers were just standing around not doing anything and talking the entire time. After 50 minutes of waiting, we left because of the ridiculous wait and lies the counter girl told for wait time. As we left, someone pointed out that they saw the cook not wash their hands anyway. If it was going to be a 50 min wait, just say that. If y’all were closed for lunch, SAY THAT. but lying to your customers to avoid a “bad review” is bad service.

You'd have to ask, but I doubt that Willie Mae though much about gluten free or not when the recipe was created. It was quite a while ago.
The Ruby Slipper is always good.
The Canal street line stops at Galvez, which is about 6 or 7 blocks away. That's the closest.
Yes it is 😊 come see for yourself

No no shopping in that area I probably wouldn't go around there after dark either
It just depends on when you go because there are times that it is very busy and you will have a long wait but it's definitely worth the wait!!! It's the best fried chicken I have ever had!!!
No they posted on their fb page they are closed
Only to the extent that they are classic New Orleans eateries.
Not sure. I would call and ask. They do have great food
No it is about a 20 minute drive from the French Quarter

No. According to thier twitter account. Willie Mae's will be closed Sunday and Monday.
Best place in the world for fried chicken not a romantic dinner or a private dinner sorry
Plenty of street parking or neighborhood is charming to park further away and walk to Willie Mae's. The food/pricing: I believed to have real Louisiana New Orleans soul food comfort food at an icon restaurant the prices are crazy good compared to some of the restaurants in the French Quarter! This is a place not to be missed if you want a full picture New Orleans experience. Besides that they have the most amazing red velvet cake I have ever tasted! The history the charm the food the area you can't miss Willie Mae's when you go to New Orleans. I even know that and I'm an Ohioan lol Love NOLA <3
