Never buy a Kia. But if you do, AVOID Kia of Clay. Go to Kia of East Syracuse instead! When our Kia Forte5 (the 2nd of 3 blown Kia engines in 2 years) failed at less than 70K miles, Kia of Clay told us it was it wasn't covered and gave us an $8000 estimate. So it sat for 18 months, while we paid the car payment and full coverage insurance. Fast-forward to 2021, when our 3rd Kia had, you guessed it, a blown engine at 70K miles. This one was by Kia of East Syracuse, due to a recall. On a whim, I brought them the Forte5 after I got my Sorento back. Guess what?! It was aso covered under the same recall THAT WAS IN EFFECT WHEN IT FIRST BROKE DOWN! Matthew's Kia of Clay effectively caused our family to lose over $7000 in car payments and subsequent repair fees due to sitting so long.

I owe a million thanks to everyone at dealership! I worked with Jessica, Rod, Sonny and Kelly and several other people came up and talked to me that day so right there that says something to me about the kind of people that work there. The short version…. I purchased a vehicle at another dealership that I only had for a month and spent most of that month in their shop. Total nightmare! I didn’t have all the facts when I financed the vehicle and realized too late that I hated the vehicle and saw right away all of the problems that were happening. Matthew’s Kia of Clay was so helpful and I felt like they had my back. Sonny took the time to explain all the issues and the issues I’d have down the road. Also explained why the car was valued at what it was valued at. I understand business is business and they need to make their money but these guys worked their tails off to get me financed close to what I was already paying per month and I know they ate some of the cost on my trade in. I unfortunately had to spend most of my day there (totally not their fault)due to a couple of test drives, financing, and waiting on my insurance company, but it beat having to come back several times to sign paperwork and pick up the car, etc especially since they’re a half hour away from me. Also they were very kind letting me bring my chocolate lab with me and very patient and sweet to both of us (especially my lab!) Overall I would highly recommend and send people I know here. They’re knowledgeable and for the first time I left a dealership feeling like a person and not another sale! Thanks guys!!!
