I absolutely LOVE Rome Maternity! I have delivered my last two babies here and was so pleased with the flexibility, patience, attentiveness, and professionalism of the nurses. Shannon and Danielle were my main nurses this last time and they were both amazing! My birth was extremely fast and they just flexed and flowed with me. They allowed me to labor and birth in the position that was most comfortable for me and worked around me. Truly mother-centered maternity care. I am so grateful π₯Ή.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The lack of compassion and empathy of each and every person you will have the misfortune of interacting with here is borderline sadistic. The nurses will treat you like livestock and the doctors arenβt much better. My wife has had a fever of between 100 and 102 for over a week as well as unrelenting headaches. So we did what normal people do, turn to the supposed professionals in what is meant to be a professional institution offering safety and medical guidance, treatment, and care. But WOW did we make the wrong choice! During 5 grueling hours in an unclean and hostile environment we were sent room to room for various tests, each of which were performed by a more incompassionate and unsympathetic demon than the last. They were NOT gentle. They were NOT careful. My wife has a crippling phobia of needles and doctors so I always make it a point to explain throughly to everyone who comes within 5 feet of her during a visit that she needs special care. Not once was I acknowledged. The staff repeatedly dodged questions regarding the tests as well as their results and continued to rush us around despite multiple requests by my wife and I for answers, FOR HELP. Itβs hard to put into words just how disrespectfully we were treated during our visit. In the end we were pushed out without a diagnosis and told to βrest up and take Tylenol as neededβ. We were treated like animals for nothing and still requested a billing address. I am begging you not to come here. Please do not put yourself or anyone you love through this absolutely terrifying system Iβm begging you. Iβm afraid for all of the people who wonβt get the chance to see this and heed my words.

Kudos to the Rome Hospital Emergency Room staff. I know that they see way too much tragedy and heartbreak and having to deal with so much trauma must take its toll. I arrived by ambulance the other night and every person with whom I came into contact was kind and friendly. The staff in or from every department was exceptional. That smile which was hidden behind a mask still showed in the eyes. The friendly pat on the arm, the willingness to explain what was happening, and the calm confidence went a long way in helping me relax. I hope that Rome Hospital and the residents in the area appreciate these workers.
