The clasp broke in my 14k gold chain so I brought it to Kay for repair because that's where i had purchased it. $160 it cost me. My necklace had originally only cost $283, so why were they charging much? Because, apparently, they replace the clasp with a new one and return the broken one to the customer, which I thought to be odd and a bit pointless (what am I supposed to do with a broken clasp?). They called me about 2 weeks after I dropped off my chain to tell me it was ready for pickup, but when I got there, they only had the chain; the broken clasp hadn't been returned (apparently even the entity who repaired the jewelry was unaware of this practice. I returned a week later and it still wasn't there, another week went by and nothing. Finally the next week they messaged me and said it was there. I picked it up, and sold it to a person who buys gold for $8. I will look elsewhere in the future for better a repair option.

Absolutely unpressional approach and tools for piercings. I went here on a whim and to give my regular woman a break, but I deeply regret it. Obviously the employee doing it was fine given she isn't the one deciding the immature method, but god whoever did is absolutely awful. Don't go here for piercings lest you experience needless pain and disappointment.

they literally inspected my rings but never documented it, so when i went back 6 months later for another inspection, they refused to fix my ring. NEVER will i shop at kay jewelers again.

Liz at Kay in Amsterdam is probably my favorite person I’ve EVER worked with at a jewelry store. She knows her product and does what she can to make sure her customer is satisfied. Liz- thank you for always doing what you can to help us out, you are one of a kind and there are very few people like you out there!!!!
