We were residents of this community for 4 years. We ended up buying a house and needed to move out early. The office manager told us if we moved out by a certain date, then we would only have to pay until that date. On our move-out form, the amount we were going to be required to pay as rent was indicated and signed by both my wife and the current office manager. We move out and turned in our keys. About a month later, we get our 'final' statement and they had deducted more rent out of our deposit. A copy of the original move out form was included but at the bottom of the form (in different handwriting) was a statement saying that we have have to pay rent through a different date (a week later than we agreed). I called and talked to the office manager and found out the previous manager was no longer with the company. After talking with the manager for 30 minutes or so, she told me that what I was saying was not their 'normal operating procedure' and whatever the previous manager said would not be upheld. I pointed out the amount that was written on the form and she could not explain why that amount was there. She would have to call me back. After waiting a couple of days, I never got a call back so I called her. She told me she had forwarded all the information on to her boss (someone in the corporate office) and that they would be getting a hold of me. That never happened. I called and left a message with the main phone operator, plus with the specific person who the office manager told me our information was forwarded to. We have tried to reach out to continue talking through why they deducted so much from our deposit, but nobody seems to care. We started talking with lawyers about what our options were, but they wouldn't take our case because the amount was too small (under $500) to be worthwhile. I'm sure corporate management knows this and that is why they are ignoring us. We had our fair share of issues while living there, so shouldn't be surprised.

They give misinformation about the terms of lease. You could be buying a house for what they charge in rent. Buyer beware, have an attorney review their contracts as they are super slimey business people.

Pine Meadow Townhomes utilizes a 3rd Party Service to run our screenings, so it is hard to say that there is a firm criteria for this. The Service takes several factors into account, such as length of time since the incident, type of incident, etc. As such, we always encourage interested applicants to fill out an application, as we will accept anyone who meets the criteria, established with the screening agency!
