My Mom has been a resident now for six months. I couldn't be happier with the care she receives, the attentive staff, the variety of activities, or the facility itself. I searched for 4 weeks touring dozens of communities to find the right home for Mom. I believe no facility is absolutely perfect, but what I appreciate so much about The Gardens, is the great staff is always attentive and willing to listen and help address any issue or concern that I have raised. Grateful for such a safe, clean, secure, and happy home for my Mother.

The Gardens at Barry Road staff have been very polite and caring to my parents. I have found it necessary to call with questions frequently, and the staff are always happy to help. The facility is clean and my parents are getting wonderful care. As soon as the COVID-19 regulations are lifted, I look forward to being able to go in and meet these wonderful people in person. I highly recommend the Gardens at Barry Road!

My mother was in the assisted living but we had to move her to another home. There was very little interaction between the staff and the people living there. We found my mother in the same dirty clothes and a lot of times they weren’t even hers. Our concerns over health matters they didn’t follow through on or if they did it was not in a timely manner which made the health issues worse. They no longer had any activities for them as it seems they keep loosing their staff. My mother was also physically harmed and injured by staff and needed medical attention. This establishment is NOT to be trusted with your loved one.

It wouldn’t be home without your furry, finned or feathered friend. We encourage residents to bring their faithful companions, and we offer referrals for services such as dog walking.
We offer a variety of resources and financial options to help assist seniors and their families to be able to afford the retirement lifestyle that meets their expectations. Our fees are easy to understand and never hidden. The apartment monthly fee includes: restaurant-style dining, laundry and maintenance, activities and wellness programs, and some transportation. Most residents will pay an additional fee based on their level of care assessment. These fees cover the cost of the additional support their needs require, including: nursing, medication management or administration, bathing, dressing and other personal services. We look forward to walking through how our fees will work for you or your loved one during your visit.
Yes. Seniors in the beginning stages of dementia may be most comfortable in our assisted living community. Those with more advanced needs may find our memory care community a better option. Our memory care community provides the most intensive care and supervision, as well as specialized activities to engage our residents’ minds. We offer both private and semi-private apartments in a 24-hour secure environment. Our compassionate staff works with each resident and family to create an environment where residents can succeed and thrive while maintaining as much familiarity as possible.
We provide long-term and short-term assisted living, as well as memory care for residents with Alzheimer’s and/or dementia. We have a well-trained team of professionals dedicated to serving all the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our residents. Our goal is to provide a stimulating environment where residents get to know each other and our team by name.
Yes they offer respite stays
Newest one i saw was last month
I currently work here and yes the area is called Memory Care. It is completely locked down with alarms equip at every door.
Elaine Hampton most not for profit homes. Don't take Medicare or Medicaid. Stay out of Monterey Park nursing home.
I'm not sure you would have to call and ask that question?
The monthly prices depends on what type of care your loved one may need. My mother is in memory care and that is twice as expensive as my father who is in assisted living. I can tell you this, all senior care is outrageously expensive and medicare doesn't pay for it and medicaid is the governments way of seizing a seniors assets which is awful and in my opinion, unconstitutional.
