Agree with all the bad (recent) reviews below. I found a Competent Dr. Real Health Care! I HAVE A HERNIA INTERFERING WITH BOWEL FUNTION! DISMISSED BY DR.MARX AND HIS NURSE! New PCP used my name twice! Tracye! Dr. Marx Has Never addressed me as Tracye. Just "You" Actually No Meritas Dr. Has ever Suggested a W.W.C ( With my History?/removal of 5 benign masses/Hysterectomy for Uterine Mass) Emergency Colostomy/Colostomy take-down/removal 1/2 colon 1/3 intestines/Hernia repairs×2, 1 mesh. My last Bi-Annual Appointment Dr. Marx Interuppted me while I was reading (10 minutes tops I practiced at home) Ignored my concerns on the sheet He gave me! Regarding a probable Hernia / Bowel with abdominal pain. I made a Follow up call to the "Nurse line described shoving the Hernia back in multiple times. NEVER CALLED BACK or mentioned the issue. Never called with Results of an Emergency Cat scan from Excelsior Springs Hospital!! I had to ask for a Refill *Hyperthyroidism/Graves Disease * as he Whisked me out the door. (I finally got a refill 1 month later after I ended up in the NKC E.R. an Equally Horrible Meritas Corporate Mess. Nurses in the Meritas Office are rude, Condescending, Unprofessional. Offered me another Dr. I politely declined, told them I'd wait.. (I was looking elsewhere, didn't tell them in case I couldn't find one before the next potentially life-threatening crisis. ) My BP has been high ever since, It made little sense to make another appointment with Dr's putting $ over the value of Human life. ) After the E.R. disaster . (Home B/P 195/112Right Shoulder left arm pain Nausea ) Vomiting, was told by NKC EKG tech "your not currently dying, it could be your heart, wait (3-5) hours sitting up in waiting room, if pain worsens tell the desk ."1/2 hour later I went to the desk Lady Barked Sit down you're violating Hippa ." Seriously? I went out called for a ride home. I was Physically incapable sitting 3 hours. Meritas Office Nurse Called the next day Parroting Corporate Nonsense "We agree with NKC, if you feel (deflecting responsibility, to me, hiding behind "We" 😉 ) I'm 60 year's old Daughter of my Late mom 40 years Outstanding O R. Nurse. Late Stepfather real Dr. Who followed the Oath He took. "If you feel 😆 🤣 like it's about feelings Seriously? Your not being heard "We " *lol whose "We"* The Corporate CEOs they sold out my/ your health care to? can Offer you another Dr." 😒 🤔 I never got a Call for the Colonoscopy/Endoscopy Dr. ordered. Judy in Referalls Rudly barked "I'll tell you what I tell everyone, they are backed up! Call them yourself you will have to anyway." Need I say more? If Value your life, (I have Medicare. ) Probably Better care for the Well insured or Meritas couldn't stay open. Find a Dr. Who follows the Hippocratic Oath 1st. Rather than selling the Health Care you deserve out $$ Corporate Greed. Went for my Follow up appointment, New Dr. One touch..my abdomen, Herniaia,CT SCAN has confirmedmed/ I see the surgeon Next Week. High risk of Strangulation its been shoved in over and over. I've been sick for Many months with this do to Negligence. Thyroid/ labs/ currently Hyperthoid/Should have Seen a Neurologist when I originally saw Dr. Dunbar, Then Campabaso, Another Dr. Who retired. For back, and Cranial Dystonia (Meritas Dr's, so rude I never got to address!!. One Dr, insisted I put Vicks Vapor rub on toe fungus, When it didn't work he said , I've seen your feet..not again. Both feet are infected, Total Mess. The Hernia Didn't Strangulate!! Thanks for the Apology..from the Owner 😆 🤣 what a Joke. Once again deflecting responsibility to me. "WE are sorry YOU had a Negative experience. SERIOUSLY? IM A MEDICAL MESS, PRAYING HERNIA WON'T STRANGULATE BEFORE ENDOCRINOLOGIST GETS THE GRAVES Under Control Let's hope No long term damage comes from Outright Negligence of MULTIPLE Dr's!! I rate this facility very low. One being I cannot obtain an individual over the phone during business hours. They also coded my office visit incorrect I have been fighting with the billing department for MONTHS and no resolution. I finally received confirmation from MY insurance company today that the bill was coded incorrectly and they were sending it back to Meritas to be fixed. I really liked the new Dr that I seen but the overall stress and time that has resulted from the visit I do not think I will ever return to a Meritas office.

They wanted me to take a Covid test in the parking lot before my appointment but they never showed up. I called and called and nobody answered. Absolutely ridiculous. How can the bar be this low?
