Josue the cashier at the 3131 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60657 location was extremely rude even when I tried to make a donation for my shoes and my husband's shoes. He said I couldn't make the donation on behalf of my husband. I have reached out to someone in customer service to understand the policy and was informed there was no such policy. I felt extremely embarrassed in front of all the customers and with my newborn in hand he basically send me off to get my husband, who was at the gym, to come and make the donation himself. I hope this cashier is properly trained to treat customers better. I have worked in customer service all my life and it really bothers me when someone is so rude for no reason. I had my newborn in one hand and both shoes in the other hand and he didn't even consider it took a lot of work to make it to the store that day alone with a newborn just to make a donation of shoes I had purchased at DSW! When I purchase shoes for me and my family no one tells me I have to have my family there to make the purchase. Even after explaining to him I have been donating shoes for over a year and never had anyone told me such an absurd rule, he didn't care and took care of the next customer.

So I had to return a pair of shoes and then also pick up the same pairs of shoes because there was a code that could be applied both online and in store. Unfortunately the dsw I went to didn’t offer me this so I had to do extra steps to get a pair of shoes at further discount. Came in to this store to see if could be a quick fix. That did not happen. My trip went from hoping to be a easy return/exchange to a 10 minute ordeal that was completely unnecessary. The person “helping” me was Jorge. But it was anything further from actual help. He gave attitude from the get go. When I said I’m hoping that my shoes would be ready he said to me “you hoping and actually happening are two different things, ok?” I had to stop myself from saying something back to him Collected myself and said can we just do whatever makes it easier so that we can just finish up this transaction. Asked for my name and confirmation number 3 times. Ended up just giving me back the original shoes I returned but at a discounted price. Now I really do hope that management reads this and speaks to Jorge because his attitude was ridiculous. Speeding me through, talking to me with no respect, and terrible work ethic. I get the store closes in 40 minutes but I wasn’t trying to stay there any longer than you were. So I hope this becomes a teaching moment for both the management and Jorge. Will I be going back to this store? Not anytime soon

Trashy, defective, overstock shoes, and cashiers with attitude! No thank you.

Designer shoes but still pricey. Not really "warehouse" pricing. Decent selection.

I would highly recommend DSW on 3100 N. Clark. It's in a building with Marshall's, and Michael's. It has a really nice selection of brands and styles at very competitive prices, plus a discounted area as well. I used to goto Chernin's on Roosevelt and 90/94 and DSW is exactly like it.
You would have to go online first to see if that is something they have and then see if they are at a location near you or you're able to order online if you want
Usually best to check website - especially on 3 day holiday wknds.
While some DSW's do carry kids shoes, this location does not.
