As an outdoors-focused brand, you would think that The North Face would encourage sustainability. Instead, when I asked whether they have any resources or the capability to do a (simple) zipper repair on my North Face jacket, they said “no, we can’t do that” and recommended that I buy a new jacket. The zipper snapped off with normal use after less than two years of owning the $400 jacket, due to poor/cheap material selection by their design/engineering department. The North Face is a fast fashion brand that only cares about profit, pretending to be a luxurious outdoors brand that cares about quality.
