I will truly say that the one star is solely for the kind nurse that tried to help my dog/inform us. My dog had suddenly gotten IVDD last year and the development was aggressive. Every vet we went to turned us away until McClave. We were relieved until they told us to leave him in their facility. We didn't get him back for 7 hrs. When he went in, he was still able to stand but his backlegs were completely limp when we got him back. They said it was because of the medicine they gave him but he never stood again. As the week progressed, he got worse. We worked around the clock to care for him and when his pain grew, we'd ask McClave for help while desperately looking for another vet. McClave only prescribed more medicine for a small dog that couldn't take it (w/o having him back for a check-up despite our requests), pushed expensive surgery that had low survival rate, and did so with a nice voice. We combined his treatment with non-medicinal options but pneumonia kicked in. My love was gone in a week and if you find that your pet has this heart shattering disease, do your research and TAKE THEM ELSEWHERE. It's not always fatal but a good medical professional is vital. It is a shocking situation to be in and animals in need deserve to be treated like they are more than a number. I went to Beverly Oaks on Ventura to put him to rest. That vet was the very 1st one I took him to when I got him 10 years ago and she is not only gentle with your pet and empathetic to your situation, but honest about what your options are as an owner. Bottom line, my comment is one of many. Please take the advice and maybe try Beverly oaks or elsewhere.

Not impressed with appointment availability right now. This world has some serious issues, but it's time business owners start to solve them. No appointments available for 30 days or more. Sure, they have a walk-in appointments, but you gotta leave your pet for the day. People wouldn't like to be treated like that, why would a dog? Dogs are better than most people anyway, they deserve better.

In October, I visited because my dog didn't eat enough. Dr said my dog has herniated lumbar disc pain and charged $1,400. For 30 days, nothing was changed and I visited again. Dr said my dog is renal and charged $1,500. Also they said as no more treatment in the office, no more Rx. After 2 days, my dog passed away. If you want to live with your pet for long time, don't visit here.

Horrible place to go to, will let your dog die in front of you. STAY AWAY ONLY GOOD FOR SCAMMING HIGH PAYMENTS ON APPOINTMENTS DO NOT COME FOR EMERGENCIES
