I had an awful experience with the front desk clerks at this office! I was visiting for the first time for a glaucoma consultation. My insurance is Aetna PPO. I confirmed with the insurance company before I booked the appointment that the doctor is in their network. After checking in, the clerk called me to the front desk and claimed that their billing does not take my insurance so If I want to see the doctor, I have to pay by cash. I told her I already confirmed with the insurance company that the doctor does take my insurance and asked her to please call them. She refused to call my insurance company and kept insisting I had to pay cash. I had to cancel the appointment and left the office without seeing the doctor. I had waited to see this doctor for 2 months! After I cancelled, I called my insurance company and once again confirmed that this doctor is in my network and they would cover my treatment. Ridiculous! Also, with another clerk, I asked if they take my insurance for optical (glasses) and gave her my insurance card for vision and dental. The clerk claimed that “this is dental insurance.” She did not take the time to look at the card which clearly states it’s for both vision and dental. All in all, everyone I spoke to at this office were both rude and incompetent. Considering how poorly trained the staff are, I would never trust this doctor or his office to competently handle my medical treatment.
