I love my teeth! I had a really crazy tooth, one of my canines never came down and it was sideways plus my teeth had gaps due to the missing tooth. My bite was off too, I kept chipping my teeth and grinding. My dentist, referred me to Dr Maulik 🙏 Dr Maulik advised he could help bring my tooth down but I would need oral surgery. He estimated 18 months. It went by so fast and the oral surgery was easy, peasy! Dr Maulik and his team took care of me and met all my expectations, even with the pandemic! The team did a great job accommodating their patients during these uncertain times.

Our family has been seeing Dr. Maulik for more than seven years and his service has never failed to meet our expectations. Dr. Maulik and his team are all very knowledgeable, making sure to keep their patients well informed of the process. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, as is the doctor himself. He is kind to his patients, his team members and is very involved with Scripps Ranch community. Very highly recommended!

If I have braces do I still need to do dental checkups every six months?

Kenzie Peacock | Jun 12, 2022
MSP | Jun 12, 2022

Yes! In fact, it’s even more important that patients receiving orthodontic treatment visit their dentist regularly. With braces, food may be caught in places that your toothbrush can’t reach. This causes bacteria to build up that can lead to cavities, gingivitis, and gum disease. Your dentist will work closely with your orthodontist to make sure that your teeth stay clean and healthy while wearing braces.

How long do I have to wear my braces?

MSP | Jun 12, 2022

The amount of time spent in braces will vary depending on the individual patient, because every smile responds differently to treatment. Treatment times can take anywhere between six and 30 months, but most standard treatments take about 22 months.
