I was born and raised in Lake Worth, not Lake Worth Beach. Changing the name was totally stupid. Do the ones that made this happen really think this would draw more tourists. They have to lodge well west to be in a decent and safe location. Just ride up and down Dixie (U S 1) to see what’s going on. Having grown up there and my Grandpa being a two term mayor back in the .1930’s I’m embarrassed!

My comments are based solely on the building and property of Lake Worth City Hall and not on any business that is conducted here.First I wanted to let you know that this address serves as Lake Worth City Hall and Lake Worth Beach City Hall. So basically one property that serves two cities that are right next to each other. The building and property are beautifully kept. The Lake Worth Beach City Library is located across the street. The building itself is an historical place with huge trees lining the property and several art displays as well as memorials to those who died serving this country. There are plenty of concrete and marble benches to sit on as well as nicely manicured lawn, you know with that nice small mini-grass that are at golf courses (lol I don't know else how to explain the grass as I haven't a clue what it's actually called). Next to the war Memorial is a sign explaining the history of the building. I won't give it all away but I will tell you that it started out in 1912 as a wood-framed schoolhouse with about 36 students. You should go visit to find out the rest of the history. I visited when they were closed, which was too bad because there is a small museum inside. As it started getting dark I glanced up at the old-fashioned outside light post just in time to see that it was 6:30pm. All of the sudden the trees and other structures lit up! Not an annoying white light but instead a soft golden glow. I've been here many times before but it never entered my mind to take pictures or to review it. It's a very nice place to either sit down and collect your thoughts, or to sit-down and abandon all of your thoughts and worries. I will be taking pictures next time I go as I didn't even get a chance to tell you about the ⛲ fountains outside. One of which is a fountain you can physically interact with. Looking forward to my next visit.

Ive had really great experiences with the City of LW. From setting up my utilities, garbage can damage and replacement, to an uncalibrated water meter- every staff member I talked to was super helpful and polite; and I’ve always gotten fast responses and quick action. The biggest complaint I have is losing power at even the smallest of storms- to be fair, that’s out of the cities control and it’s always back up within a few hours (at most)
