Coolest spot in Chicago, this secret bar was truly "secret." Never got too busy to lose its ambiance. I recommend coming around the time it opens (5pm). I felt like I was in a bar in Fall Out New Vegas!

Cute bar. It’s a pretty small bar so I’d recommend checking it it during the week.

Street parking 4.75/hr, free street midnight for my driver's. If you come earlier spothero has spots for $7 all night. Inside the scene isn't too far from a dive bar, dim lighting, and party space about the size of a hs basement party. Place can get packed fast just by it being so small. They don't have true tables so don't waste your money on that if offered. Mixed drinks come in skinny cups about half the size you'd see at college dining halls, in those same cups. Personally ordered 2 high noon cans and a shot of tequila for $42; 20% gratuity is automatically included in your total though. Service could be faster considering the pricing and location. The crowd is about mid 20s and the djs know how to read the crowd. Music realistically stops just under 30m before closing. Keep conversation with security brief they will instigate a situation for some action. Decent spot for something lowkey during the weekday

I was super excited to try Blind Barber's speakeasy. The concept is cool and the aesthetic was nice but what's inside is actually a mediocre bar that can't find an identity or a way to be true to themselves. The menu boasts fancy drinks but the presentation is lackluster in IKEA looking glasses for every drink; none of which match the drink which is being served. The "Fancy Old Fashioned" was not fancy nor done right - small ice cubes ruined the already too sweet rendition of the drink. Another disappointment was that halfway through the visit, I moved the candle sitting on my table only to find it covering the happy hour menu which our waitress conveniently forgot to tell me about. I checked the next table and theirs was covered up too. When I ordered a round from that menu the waitress seemed surprised and displeased. Their wall of 1000+ vinyl records laid untouched collecting dust because "thats not what our customers want to hear". The sleek classy cocktail lounge quickly transformed into a trashy club with patrons laying in the booth making out. Would I go back? Sadly, no. I had high hopes but was ultimately left disappointed and with a bill that was far too expensive for what I got.
