Trying for months to get into the Lewis center 45th street WPB FLORIDA. Do not like the Annex Lewis center. Do not get the same treatment at the annex. We have been living in our car since February 28 2022. Today I went to the main Lewis center to give them a letter that we are still homeless living in our car. We hope we get into the main Lewis center or get a MOTEL VOUCHER would be great. We are getting sicker and no one cares about us possibly dying in our car soon due to many health issues. Too many people homeless living in the streets not enough programs for housing especially for seniors who are disabled struggling with low income programs. Wish we could make a difference in the world with housing programs. People need to change the way of thinking about being homeless. Too many illegals getting housing and financial support and food stamps and Medicaid while we who were born here are out in the cold with housing programs and other programs. Government needs to realize that we Americans deserve more help than we are getting.

I couldn’t be more grateful for this place. I mean its amazing and I wish more shelters like this existed. I’m so pleased and happy with the service and the help!

Yes it does suck! Nobody actually helps here. I'm homeless, legally disabled with my 7 year old grandson in my custody &full care. Been trying to get help from these people for nearly a month now-and NOTHNG!
WPB. Is one of the worst counties for help of any kind!!!! Food assistance, meaning food stamps if you recieve any most of the time they give the minimum and to recieve that they want you to take class after class for a measly 30 or 40 dollars.if one is homeless, how does the person get to the class.for exsample,my mom is 68 years old and lives on ss.she gets 800$ a month, her rent is 600 a month and she lives in a assistance home and when she applied for food stamps the only offered her 30 somthing dollars a month, but being that shes older she doesn't have to take the classes but 30 dollars is an insult.on top of this they raise the rent 50 dollars every year.unemployment is a joke!!!! The state of fl. And the carolinas give the least funds and the shortest amount of weeks on unemployment.also I have had to move 2 times due to the property being sold and you only,by law are given 30 days to evacuate the premises.many other states give you 6 to 3 months.fl is beautiful but move here rich
Yes
Lewis and there is not a medical building Sono dr. Alvarez there
No you have to call in and talk to one of the case manager
No do not only how they help you with rent if you are a guest at their resident and is in their program but for just outsiders walking up no they do not do that
This is a place for resources of you need help. I wish you all the best!
Call they help women with children first.

Are you working to the Lewis Center? If you are contact them and ask what to do. If not talk to the people you are trying rent from and give your version of what happened and state your last landlord does not tell the truth
