Mailing Address: 1840 NE 65 Court, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33308 Facility Location: 19801 Sheridan Street, Southwest Ranches, Florida 33332 Went here for many years with my daughter and sponsored several horses. It is a unique and rewarding rescue. They are based on Volunteers to help with the workload and can always use additional help and donations of funds or products from their wish list. They have multiple community programs and events. The magical Mini program is especially educational for younger children 6 to 10 but they have adult programs too. You need not know how to ride to participate at the ranch. Check it out! You and /or your child will learn a lot!

I have been involved with this wonderful non profit since high school. The work that these volunteers do to ensure the well being of these horses and animals is extraordinary. I would encourage anyone who is interested to volunteer their time or donate if possible.

Debbie and many generations of her family have put their hearts and souls into saving not just coggins positive horses but all kinds of challenging to place farm animals. As if the restrictions aren't hard enough, they have had to fight tooth and nail EVERY SINGLE DAY to be able to provide secure shelter for these animals in a county more interested in the wealthy than of the stewards. Please take note, all who have rated lower due to the HARD WORK and or unenthusiastic teenage volunteers.. The family who cares for these animals get NO BREAKS from working, fundraising, and worrying over money, the County, the next fat cat with money who wants their land, etc. Without this family these animals would be slaughtered. So kudos to all who will at least try to step up to the challenge, and GOD BLESS ALL WHO STICK WITH IT. All animals deserve F.R.I.E.N.D.S.!!!!

My wife and I had the opportunity to volunteer at this absolutely amazing no kill rescue. Many hearts and energies make this shelter a perfect place to volunteer and to see how happy and healthy these creatures can be through their ENTIRE natural life cycle. Thank you so much for the time and dedication invested.

Hello Ashley, No they do not adopt out horses, we are a sanctuary and accept only rescue horses. However, we can put you in touch with rescues near you that do adopt out horses.
Hi Michele, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. does not do rentals. However, we do have a Sponsor A Horse Program in which we match you to a horse and you can groom, bathe and ride them. You might be interested in this. Please check out the program at www.eiahorses.org and look at available horses/orphans.
