I've been looking to try vegan chicken and waffles for years, so I was really excited to try it at Wayward. It was really good! You'll notice from my picture that I got pretty into it before I remembered to take a picture! :) We also recently really enjoyed their country fried steak and biscuits and gravy - it was all pretty darn good! Their tempeh bacon is a favorite for me! I hadn't been here in years - I went a few times probably 5-6 years ago and enjoyed it then too. I just moved back into the area and was excited to try this place again. I feel like it's even better than it was when I went here years ago. Presently they are still set to pickup/delivery only. They don't do door dash -- bummer for me since we got dash pass and most of our favorite places are on door dash, so we opt to call in our order and pick it up. I do really appreciate that they send text updates when your order is ready for pickup. Everyone I have talked to there has been friendly and helpful. They have gotten our order right every time, and they have been right on with their timing estimates. We're fans of Wayward in my home, and we're pretty excited to live close enough to order from here more often. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try vegan versions of their favorite breakfast items or American style foods - it will fill your craving!

Amazing food. They don’t do dine-in’s right now due to lack of staff but Green Lake Park is right nearby with bench tables and restrooms which is where we went to eat. The country gravy that comes with the biscuits is INSANE 5/5 dish. Friendly staff too.

SO IN LOVE!! We go down for the tater tot hash and biscuits and gravy about 3-4 times a month! They have other food that is good too, but my omnivore bf is beyond obsessed with the tater tot hash. So it’s a win for the whole family! My son loves the “wild cat” which is tofu and sausage rolled up in a pancake 😍 OMG and the sourdough toast must be made from the Gods because 🤤 *drool* I def recommend since I am there all the time! Pictured is the tater tot hash and biscuits and gravy.

We're having our floors re-done in the kitchen. We should be back open on the 17th. We'll be doing our floors out front next month, but we shouldn't be closed as long then. Thanks for asking! Hope to see you soon.
Yes! Just come in or call the restaurant and we can Issue a card in any denomination. We're happy to mail them, as well, if that's something you'd like.
It's currently open for pick-up only, one person inside the building at a time. A mask is also required for entry.
110% vegan. When you ask for eggs, sausage, pancakes, biscuits etc, there is no need to ask for the vegan versions. It's all plant based!
The burgers are advertised as beyond, the chicken is a soy based protein!
The owners are all vegan, as are 99% of the staff.
Yes, but it is limited to a couple (or 3) tables. And not completely covered.
Yes! We have an allergen index available for servers to consult, but please know we use shared equipment. Many, many nut free options :)
Yes, there is a small parking lot directly behind the building, accessible from an entryway before the dry cleaners next door.
