I simply cannot overemphasize, should you come to Boston and wish to make a pilgrimage gastronomique, you must come to Colette, each and every day of your stay. My stomach and heart are blissfully full. As I sit in the front window composing this review, two patrons have discovered they are both French and are now conversing enthusiastically in their shared native tongue. The pastries here are a glorious study in fat and suspended air. The quiche treads a unique balance of hearty and delicate. Come before late morning to ensure a taste of those and the rustically simple ham sandwich. Colette bakes their bread with a comfortably structural crust which gives way with but one bite into a pleasantly sour chewiness. The staff converse cheerfully and love their baking as much as their clientele. Happiness resides on a small shopfront in Medford. And you can take it home in a box and in your soul.

I'm of the mind that believes food is meant to elicit the joys of life. Every amazing memory I have with family and friends is centered on that enjoyment. Colette's Bakery is a slice of the sublime. Their pastries are expertly made. I usually go for the passion flower and the croissants and I have never once been disappointed. Every bite feels like Christmas morning. And can I just add that even when you arrive in a busy hour and there is a line all the way outside, the service is lightning fast so the line moves at a good pace. Phenomenal bakery and a must visit if you haven't yet!

Amazing bakery with friendly staff! We recently visited France and fell in love with the pastries there. We were hoping to be able to find a bakery near our home with goods that would be comparable to those we tried on our trip. Colette is exactly that! We tried their rye baguette, pan de mie bread, chocolate croissant, chocolate eclair, blueberry tart, a sandwich, ham and cheese croissant, and a spinach quiche. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious! I was especially impressed by how fluffy and light the quiche was. We are so happy to have discovered this place and will definitely be visiting often!

This is undoubtedly the most authentic French bakery in greater Boston area! If you came from Europe and tired of over-sweetened and greasy American bakery, this place is certainly worth stopping by! Make sure to come early on the weekend as they run out of freshly baked goods pretty quickly!

Colette Bakery takes covid restrictions seriously. There is a limit on the # of customers that can be inside. Masks must be worn. Appropriate distance between customers is practiced here. I often see a patient line of customers waiting outside, awaiting a customer inside to leave and take their place.
