Rough experience just now. Had to write a review. Similar to others who have reviewed over on Yelp - the owner and sales person was very abrasive and only interested in making a quick sale rather than providing a positive customer experience. Phoned in after receiving shoes in the wrong size as a gift purchased online from a company I know she carries. Instead of shipping them back I was hoping to exchange in-person. Her immediate response without hesitation, "How do I make money on this?!? Tell me." Instead of continuing going back-and-forth with her about why she should take my exchange, I just chalked it up to a frustrated small business owner who is getting beat out by online retail, and left it there. The truth is, in-person retail IS valuable, and the way to win out over online selection and price is through customer service - as well as providing the immediate satisfaction of going home with an item rather than waiting for shipping, and knowing if something fits before purchasing. If she DID take my exchange I'd find that to be a valuable service and likely return when I needed a replacement or another pair of shoes. Or recommended her to others. Even if she went as far as to explain that it's tough for her as a small business owner to compete and that this exchange wouldn't make her any money - I'd feel obliged to purchase a pair of socks or other item when making the exchange. I would still if she'd take my exchange! I get it. I'd rather she get my $7.95+ I'll have to pay for shipping than UPS. But the immediate response, with such a tone, has really put me off.

The nicest most helpful people!!! I had a blister forming on my foot walking on campus, and they helped me find a great pair on short notice! Will be buying from them again.
