The store portion is extremely high cost for a thrift store but otherwise ok the services part on otherwise is ridiculas they give out rotting food on a daily basis I've complained and called main office about this and you can't ever get help with anything where does our money go during Xmas that we all donate if locals can't even get help and get given rotten food jeez

I know they do help with clothes, twice a year i believe. Usually 3 sets. They do food also, however unsure of schedule. You could also try St. John's church, they do a monthly food pantry there.
We do not accept donations at the corps, but donations of clothing and household items can be dropped off at The Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center, 624 Market St, Beatrice. Or call us to find The Salvation Army donation drop-off nearest you or to schedule a pick-up of your items.

Yes, our food pantry is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-Noon and 1-4 p.m. (with the exception of the last Tuesday of each month when the Community Food Pantry at St. John's Lutheran takes place). We also have bread and produce drives and a mobile food pantry. Call us for more information.
Most generally they take anything however the folks there are volunteering and have to sort and throw away the items dropped off. The discarded items big or small still have to be disposed of by way of landfill or other means. Absolutely donate it if it's useable, but remember they have to pay to throw stuff away just like the rest of us, whereby driving prices up and making more work for the folks giving their time. :)
