For the price we payed I would expect a bit nicer rooms. Our bathroom was run down, out of date and had a ton of water damage. The shower head was from 1950 and blasted us really hard! The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Again I would expect a bit better for the price per night we had to pay. There was a convenient store attached which was good for the "continental breakfast" which consisted of bananas, muffins, orange juice. Not much of a continental breakfast in my opinion. We did enjoy the swimming pool and hot tub. We stayed only 1 night and I wouldn't want to spend multiple nights on those beds for sure. And what's with the phone by the toilet?? It's also from 1950 lol.

This hotel is being remodeled but putting that aside. They are beating till 5:30 PM on the side of your walls, you can tell this place has been poorly maintained. They have moved me four times in my month and a half stay. One of the rooms stunk real bad. The restaurant is closed down. The hot tub was down for several weeks. The housekeeping personnel were very good. Some of the front desk people are rude and condescending. There are very few motels in Tillamook. I stayed at the Shilo because I had been impressed with it in other locations but I would not return to this one.

The manager, Toni, is so friendly and helpful! The rest of the staff were also friendly. We stayed at the right time, just when the pool, hot tub and sauna were all up and running again. We were pleased with the room having a microwave and fridge. When we needed more towels, they were quick to get us some. We did not have any noisy neighbors or any issues within our room. The construction took place mainly while we were out and about during the day, so it never bothered us. The grab and go breakfast was well-stocked each morning. It was also very convenient to have a little store right next to the lobby, and a Fred Meyer across the street. Overall, we just had a really pleasant stay. And to top off the great service, I realized after getting all the way back home that I had forgotten my pajamas on the back of the bathroom door, but the manager was willing to mail them to me! If we need to stay in Tillamook again, we are coming here!

The exterior is under construction, which is good. No elevators and difficult to load in and be close to your room or nearest staircase at later hours. View out the window was right over the construction dumpster. Happy they are making progress with the improvements, but that's not the best view. All staff were very friendly and helpful
