This is about the Smoothie King in Term B. And as most Business that have shops at the airport they must love it, because their standards can be lower and the "captive audience" (traveling public) has to accept it or go hungry. This smoothie king seems to be operating with whatever ingredients they choose to have and not the ones they should. This becomes evident when you order items like the gladiator, which comes with two fruits or two ingredients of YOUR choice but is not really you choice when more often than not, they don't have it. And btw I order the STRAWBERRY Gladiator which is supposed to be already flavored like strawberry and be redish but its neither. If one of my choice ingredients to add is banana, then it may taste a little like banana, but where's the strawberry base? My guess is that they're using some "neutral" protein, I hope at least that's what it is (protein), because that's why I choose this item. Anyway hopefully they'll do a better job of keeping items in stock and put in the ingredients they're supposed to put.

Hours state they close at 9. They closed at 7:20pm on Thursday, 5/26. Update: on Thursday, 6/23, location was closed as of 8:40pm. Hours still state the location closes at 9pm. Appears to be a chronic issue.

This is really a review of The Grove stand(?) which is attached to the Smoothie King. I was looking for something veggie and not fried and The Grove had a ton of options that fit the bill. Over the course of 6 hours or so I ended up eating two different pasta dishes and both hit the spot. For airport pricing, I've seen far worse ($13 with tax) and I would happily try another veggie pasta dish next time I fly through O'Hare. Tons of protein/energy bar options and other veggie offerings as well. Would be great if they offered chopsticks as a utensil option. Reading other reviews, I should note that the Smoothie King staff was super peppy and responsive to customer requests as I was standing in line. They gave the customer in front of me multiple options for his vague smoothie request and were friendly and professional throughout.

Product was fine, but the employees have a poor attitude. Just another business that makes you feel like they’re doing you favor.
