I was in bank hell. Ally bank was awful and I needed a new bank. Found local Travis credit union and had an issue due to my own mistake with online sign up. So customer service was wonderful on the phone and I had to visit the Richmond branch to fix the issue. The person in customer service was incredibly helpful and flexible along with the manager when I explained my situation trying to resolve my issue. I am so pleased with how I was treated. The app is backwards compatible with my old phone, and I can’t say more about this credit union so far. Only hitch I heard of is getting purchases declined via the visa feature if you do unusual purchases to stop fraud. Was told to let them know if you plan on using the card out of state or for big purchases so this doesn’t happen. Supposedly soon you can verify this in the app but not yet. So far so good. Thx Richmond branch of Travis!!

I went to the credit union at the time of the economic crisis, tired of big banks. After years of being a member since then I have been very disappointed by Travis, especially the branch that I frequent, the hilltop Richmond branch. For the longest time even the physical facility was problematic, the door to the ATM vestibule and the card swipe did not work and the ATM were always down for one thing or another; it was almost a year before they fixed the entrance and upgraded the ATM, I have found the phone customer support sorely lacking, they often say they are making some requested change to my information, and never follow through.Even when I updated my phone number myself, the system retained my old number, and when they froze my account for two small Walmart purchases, an entity that I buy from online regularly, I was unaware because they were sending notifications to my old phone, so instead of emailing me, they just shut everything down, leaving me to scurry around worridly on a Saturday night after having my card declined. I hate to say it but I am ready to return to the Bof A, I am just sick of thier unprofessionalism.

Hi Tessa, Yes, if your card has the CO-OP symbol on the back you can use Travis Credit Union ATMs free of charge. We also process cash advances if you have a visa logo on your debit card.
Yes they do.
Hi Tracy, You are welcome to apply for a loan as long as you are eligible for membership by living, working, or attending school in our membership counties or if you have a family member who is currently a member.
Anyone can open an account at Travis
Yes
Yes, you can! Thank you for your membership!
Hi Clare! Unfortunately we don't offer 13 month CDs any more. You can check the list of our current certificates and the rates here: https://www.traviscu.org/rates/deposits/#ira
Hi Cynthia, The answer is NO. You can however sign a cross account transfer form that would allow you to transfer to another member’s account online. Just visit a branch or call our Member Service Center for that.
Hi Janessa, We do not offer shared branch services for any other credit unions however, if you have an ATM card with the CO-OP symbol, you can access your account using one of our many ATMs.
Hi Caroline, You can't make a deposit to your Golden 1 account in our branch, but you can use our ATMs or self service machines to make a deposit to your Golden 1 account.
No.
