The Answer: Visited on a Sunday evening planning drinks and a late dinner about one hour before the stated closing time. Unfortunately we learned the kitchen closed early, perhaps since they were slow that evening. So, word of caution: The Answer's kitchen may be unexpectedly closed on slow days. For the drinks: great variety of good beers, I recommend. But do not count on being able to enjoy food.

The "joose" fruit beers here are unlike other beers I've had. I suspect even non-beer drinkers would like them. Maybe there's no hops?

Crazy range of beers on tap. Super thick chocolate cheesecake fruit bombs to Japanese rice lagers. Great staff. My favorite type of artwork.

I already knew the beer was great and that's one of the reasons we decided to spend a couple nights in Richmond. The food was quite the surprise. Everything was great ESPECIALLY the Rocket Shrimp. Ramen Fried Chicken Sando and Fish N' Chips were really good too!

I don't remember seeing televisions there so it's not front and center a sports bar. That being said they might have a spot where you can watch a game.
It varies. Depends on the keg total they have. They're usually pretty lenient.

great outside area but it is not listed as dog friendly.. Tripple Crossing is dog friendly and has a great outdoor area as well

No - I would definitely not bring your dogs, but as someone else said above, there are several craft brew pubs in RVA that ARE dog-friendly. I don't want to post the name of another establishment because that doesn't seem right, but l in the Scott's Addition area of Richmond.
Yes, but not every beer is available for growler fills.
