Paving stone hardscaping can be swept clean. Scrubbing them with water and a small amount of detergent will remove dirt and minor discoloration. An occasional pressure washing is beneficial as well. Sometimes, weeds grow between the stones and require removal, but the risk of this is greatly reduced by professional installation and the use of sand filler.

We always recommend sealing your paver surface. Sealing your concrete pavers will help protect against both fading and staining. There are several brands of sealer designed specifically for concrete pavers. There are also several different types of sealer. They come in solvent based and water based and offer a variety of “sheens”. There are “hi-sheen”, which gives your pavers a wet look; and “low-sheen” or “satin” which are described as invisible. It is good to look at sealer as a way to protect your investment in your home.
