I've been to this wonderful place literally over 100 times probably closer to 200 but I still get super excited as I pull down to lower parking area and take in the scenery! Honestly this beach helped my psyche during the first 6 months of covid entering our state. For me it's a Lil magical to perch here and just be present letting everything wash away with each wave rollin backwards out to sea. I would tell anyone reading or listening to come see for yourselves. As for me it's worth the 1.75 hour drive each way even on a rainy chilly day.

Great place to just come and park to see the ocean. Usually some good wave action but if not you can walk on the beach or birdwatch. Huge bull kelp forest off the beach and you can usually see Harlequin Ducks there.

Beautiful beach! On the negative side. There's no toilets so get prepared or pee in the water if you plan on staying for a while. When the tide is high, there's no more beach area to walk on. There's barely any sand, it's mostly rocks so don't bother bringing your shovels and buckets, no sand castle happening here. Buuuut, It's definitely one of the most beautiful spot to watch the sunset on whidbey Island! By August There's lots of tiny crabs my kids love to catch them and we free them all before we go back home. You can see lots of different little sea creatures if you take the time to look. The cliffs also gives a different view then most flat beaches.

Libby Beach Park is at the turn around at the end of a road. We used the fenced area to let our dog run around when no one else was there. There is a port-a-potty. The ocean side has steps down to the water, and waves splash near the bottom step but behind a wall made from pilings. Diving socks would be a good idea, or if you don't mind getting shoes wet, to walk on the shore.

Sorry, this particular park is just a day park. There isn't a camping area.
