We had copper roofs and snow cleats installed on several areas of our new home. The quality and look exceeded our expectations! We would highly recommend Classic Metal Roofs to anyone who wants a high quality metal roof on their home.

We had a copper roof put on our eyebrow awning. High quality, professional job at a higher price, but worth it.

We research metal roofs extensively before choosing Classic Metal Roofs. And that was the right choice. They are top notch. The quality of the materials was A-1. And the workers were respectful of not only us as clients but also our property. It was a proffesional installation all around and even follow up questions were answered promptly and correctly.

Not all roofing contractors just specialize in metal roofs. Let' say you were to have a heart problem. Would you go to a general practitioner to address the issue, or would you decide on a "heart specialist"? That's easy right? Did you know the roofing industry is the lowest pay schedule of the construction industry for workers? However, metal roofers are among the highest paid and for good reason.....skill. Choose wisely. Your roof is the ultimate and primary defense against the harsh New England weather....and it's only getting worse. If the metal roofing contractor you decide on has a product that can ONLY be purchased through them, it's most likely that they are certified by the factory they represent. If it's a product that is offered through distribution, then it's available to any contractor without certified factory installation practices.
That would largely depend on the base metal of the roof (what it's made from), the coating of the roof, the thickness of the metal, and the method of installation. A residential roof base metal should always be one of these three; Aluminum, Copper, or Zinc. Never steel. No galvanized steel metal should be installed on a residential roof. The coating should be Kynar or Hylar at 70% strength for maximum life. Most of the standard roofs we install are aluminum with 70% Kynar coatings. The thickness of the roof should be 032 ( that's 32 thousandths of an inch) and the roof should ALWAYS be installed with an independent clip system to allow for the natural contraction and expansion of the metal. These roofs are made and installed to last 100 years plus.
