Can't say enough good things about the nurses here. I have been through many issues and am a hard stick. Previous nurses at a large boston hospital missed 4 times and blew out a vein, shields got me in the first try. Also am claustrophobic and couldn't do the last mri at the Boston hospital, asked for a drink of water and 5 minutes, they said no, and sent me on my way. Shields nurses were very caring and got through the whole without freaking out. I'll see you all again in 6 months

Hi DeeDee, Our Framingham MRI facility is an IDTF (independent diagnostic testing facility) and our place of services code is "49" for medicare and "81" for most other insurances. This indicates that our prices are billed as an outpatient rate and can be as much as 60% less than a hospital rate. However, even with this price, our technology is still the very best with the latest and most advanced 3T MRI available. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. Hi Sheila, both of the machines at this location are open-bore, which is the widest size opening for this MRI. For a open-sided option, we offer that in our Brighton location.
