Well, my dog can vary in weight, so in order to get medication from this vet, I would have to come in monthly for one single dose of flea, tick, and heart worm medication instead of handing out the standard six month or yearly packs. We are talking a variation of several pounds on an 88 lb animal. I have never experienced this with a vet office. If you have a life or a job I do not recommend this vet. Not to mention the receptionist Sierra is nothing but attitude on the phone. I’d also like to add, they put a note to email them, they did not respond until my 3rd email. When they did respond they cited a bunch of legal issues that had nothing to do with my case. I took my dog to another vet, he weighed in at 85 lbs and they had zero issues dispensing the medications for his correct weight class. Since Mars acquired all the VCA hospitals they only care about profit, not your pet, not the best care. They just want your money. So if a higher weight class med costs more, or if they can sell it at a higher cost individually rather than in a pack, they will do whatever they can to make that extra dollar, even if your pet is in harms way. I would never take my pet to a VCA hospital. You can tell how poorly it’s run by the staffs terrible attitude.

While saying good morning to Athena I noticed a huge welt/mass under her eye that wasn’t there before we went to bed. Fearing it was an allergic reaction or something in her eye, she needed urgent care. My normal vet was short staffed and couldn’t get her in so I went to VCA Northpointe Animal Hospital. They were so attentive, caring, and friendly. Despite having an hour half- two hour wait, they provide triage care and gave us an exam room to wait in so that we weren’t stuck in my car or in the waiting room with a bunch of other pets. Our bill was under $250- which included a week supply of medicine!! Athena can be anxious when getting medical care, especially if I can’t be present, but the staff were obviously great and wholesome because Athena did just fine when they took her back to see the doctor without me, and all the staff loved her. Athena is 140lbs, so the fact that they could handle her so well and independently shows their level of skill set. She came out tail wagging and after an exam the the vet was luckily able to determine that there was nothing lodged in her eye and that she wouldn’t require additional treatment or tests. I feel so appreciative of the team there. And grateful that for emergency care, the bill was less than my vet would have been for normal care. Highly highly recommend!!

Disrespectful staff, they do not care about your animals at all. They are there simply for money and looks. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

I made an appointment several days ahead on a specific day so that my cat can receive a rabies shot ASAP. He was scratched by an animal and I am worried because he is still a baby. I was only going to be in town for five days and now my appointment was moved almost five days ahead. I called days ahead to make sure this didn’t happen. However, It did and now my cat has to share an area with another cat for five days unvaccinated from rabies and other potentials. Therefore, I am very disappointed with the scheduling team of this hospital.

I don't think so... Call for an appointment....Even call for Emergency visits before you show up..
It could be a bite, allergic reaction or from the result of touching something hot.
I read yesterday on Facebook their phones lines are in trouble :( They're saying Facebook, email, keep trying, and if you are out front, to go up to the door . I hope they can just replace them! It's too hot; nobody should have to wait a long time!! :(
You can always call them they are always happy to help and are open 24 hrs
You can try getting him to eat a tablespoon of pumpkin puree or yogurt. You can mix them in his food. They can help with regulation. If it goes on too long you should see the vet as there could be a bowel impaction.
Your besr bet is call and ask them directly. Good luck with your puppy.
Yes calling first would be best they are 24hrs
I agree with previous respondent. They are incredibly busy, but also deeply invested in what they do. I have been a client for 26 years dating back to the veterinarian founder. I love these people.
There is a thing called care credit. They are an option, CALL THE VET PLEASE! Your dog should not have to suffer! Northpointe will work with you, I have been taking my babies to them for many years! If nothing else surrender the dog to Scooter's pals, they will get him or her the proper medical care immediately!
Call. They are open 24/7. They are pleasant and answer questions. They have wonderful teams of staff.
I've never had a cat spayed there so I do not know. You can always call and ask them and they can give you an idea over the phone.
I believe it depends on the size of animal. There are many options so pricing varies w/ the option choosen.bravceto is awesome about 40$good for3months.
Because they need to sedate it is about 500$
Depends on the vet, $50-$100
Yes, you can make an appointment to have your dogs nails trimmed and the appointments are in the afternoon.
