Home to multiple generations of Rocky Horror fans

I went to Rialto Theater in Raleigh to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show; the midnight show - the last show as the Rialto is closing. It was a live show and The Rialto is a Raleigh landmark. I had never seen the live show. The line for admission was a mile long. The people I met in line were among the best and coolest people I've met since I moved into the area over 7 years ago. But the show sold out when I was in line. Someone was very generous and kind and was able to get me tickets. To me this theatre and those people embody the best Raleigh has to offer. It is something I don't want lost to growth and development or any other reason. I had the best time and one I won't forget. I had the time of my life. Whoever that kind and generous stranger was THANK YOU. It meant the world to me.

Wonderful, whimsical place to see a movie. I hope it doesn’t stay closed too long while they transition to new ownership. One of the last great Raleigh landmarks—I hope it never changes.

The manager Wes is just the best. Relaxing theater. Old tile bathrooms.

Yes, at certain times. Check the website. My family rented it for my birthday and it was tons of fun. They even changed out the marquee for me 😁

Parking is available curbside on Glenwood Ave as you travel northward. There is also a small gravel parking lot, shared with The Point and other businesses on that corner, that can be accessed from Glenwood or Fairview.
They should be in at 6.
In person. The Rialto is pretty large and seldom sells out. You can buy them in advance when the theater is open.
You are allowed to park behind the music school accross the street.
On my experience I did not. It would be helpful to check their website to see full information. For special events you may have to.
No eggs, water guns or alcohol though
