Nice trail

Trail has nice views of wetlands. The walk itself is a bit bland - strait shot with one turn. Go a bit later in the afternoon as there is no overhead shade for a good portion of the walk.

Love it! So peaceful and lovely. Some spots you can go all the way down to the water and other spots you can look out across the water and just watch nature come alive.

I don't know that I would count any open space along this trail as worth a picnic, especially from Dunn through the middle of the trail. Haven't explored the Erwin side of it too much
