Very casual place. Delicious food

Longtime staple of the area. Food is truly exceptional as is the service. While many reviews refer to this as a neighborhood place – and it is – do not be misled. The quality of the food is comparable to anything that you would get in any of the best downtown Chicago restaurants. We know because we frequently dine at such establishments. Yes – the menu is limited but that’s because everything is made from FRESH ingredients. As frequent diners, we have visited venues with extensive menus but always remain cognizant of the fact that many of those entrees will be frozen and micro waved. Not so here. And you can speak to the chef if you wish. Seafood and beef dishes are memorable Mixed drinks and wine are very good and reasonably prices. All the servers we’ve had have been personable and helpful. Even if you do not live nearby, Sabans is worth a trip. As I have emphasized in other reviews, if we do not support wonderful family operated places such as this, they will be gone and we will be left with “cookie cutter” chain restaurants and mediocre food.

The food was executed perfectly and beautifully plated. Everything was amazingly delicious. Our waiter was professional and knowledgeable. And I loved the atmosphere.
