The King public library is an excellent facility for a small town.It has lots of parking. The staff are friendly. They have easy access to the internet. They are helpful when requested to make copies or otherwise assist in locating items It had a good supply of books as well as lots of children's material. Its located in Old King on Dalton Road.It is the site of voting for the largest precinct in Stokes County.

There are also two cement benches on either side of the front doors.
